Use the Root when something feels stuck or buried or

difficult to move through.

Work with it when you are trying to "Pull something up"

while focusing fully on

getting "To the Root" of the Situation..

and when working on something that requires

Depth and not avoidance.

This year's dolls

will usher in a new era.

If there were saws and drills and sanders there,

she would still be making the Doll Bodies right there...

Ah, but, well, no.. (couldn't talk them into it... sigh...)

So, after making thousands of dolls together,

it's the end of their partnership,

not because either of them want it that way.

The wooden stands and doll bodies Bev made last year

 will run out this year.

So...this is the end and the beginning.

The Time calls for the Dollmaker

to make changes in her

Dollmaking Style.

There will definitely be more

Bamboo Legs are back in Vogue!

 An unfortunate Adios to the prevailing

solid wooden doll bodies

which served the Dollmaker well for

over two decades!

The Dollmaker will soon publish the exact years

for the Art Historical Record- the Solid Body Years.

 So, the little Dollmaker Reviewed her collection of bamboo rods...

Which needed to be cut to the size of Doll Legs and sanded...

The Wee Doll Constructions

will still need

Wooden Stands of all shapes and sizes!

The Dollmaker will likely be collecting her own wood and

cutting her own stands for a while.

So... Doll Stands Wanted!

Many "stand-up" Dolls already possess the "alternative"

"Wee Leg Style"...

And of course,

 Wee Peeple of Folklore and Legend 

were often incredulously classified  ..oh yes!

according to their preferences in

SHOES! 

Right!

The Wee Folk might scornfully refuse a tiny jacket or even a

lovingly sewn pair of trousers

but you will never see a one of them

turn down a pair of 

 jolly Pointy-Toed little Booties! 

Speaking of using Blocks...

Here's another Idea-

Born of Investigative Cleaning!

That is when there's a pile of art supplies that have been around

for YEARS and they are either going to get MADE into something or

out they go!

A Confrontation! An Ultimatum!

Ha. ..droll indeed for those who never actually left...

Well, one in particular.. carefully chosen by Miss Judy for

a birthday present for her Dear Sister

who had noticed the Tuxedo Cats making trouble last year online!

Miss Sister was Delighted!

(the Black Cat maybe not so much...)

Antlers and Tree Roots

Branching and interconnected.. 

Antlers symbolize the Sky and the Mind

Roots symbolize the Earth and the Body

Connecting higher awareness with deep, grounded origins.

The Antler is a Crown,

 but not one of inherited authority.

 It is a crown that is grown, carried, lost, and re-grown each year,

signifying a sovereignty that must be continually earned,

a connection to the sacred that is always in process, never complete.
