oh yes... November brings us four more rollicking..
starting with Bloody
No sense in trying to resist...
Imagination races on.. towards the Fifth Weekend Theme...
It's all a blur now, but at some point, it rained a bit...
More drainage repairs followed. In summary, then the sun came out and
it got hot and later, at the very end
it got cold. Huzzah.
Doll Art Madness continues...
The Dollmaker always says: Barbarians typically don't buy dolls..
BUT When They DO...
Do not stand in their way!!!
and then... Steve Hutto doesn't typically smile for photographs...
but when there's a Dancing Doll in the Doll Shoppe
(and the Huttos are Ballroom Dancers..)
and when he, himself, chose this Doll..
and when the wife and daughter begin to assume a complimentary POSE..
Well now! How about That!
Sheer Radiance!
Of note: Sue's Hand Position! You can tell she's a Pro!
so... Barbarian Weekend
ushered in the cooler weather
and the crowds!
somehow 52,000 people arrived and jostled about on
Barbarian Saturday! It was definitely noticeable!
and the Doll Shoppe was Rockin!
the Doll Shoppe continued to Rock
on through Highland Ding-a-Ling Weekend...
They came.. flingingly a-mingling and a-jingling..
The weather cooled off but Magnets and Pins were HOT
in the Doll Shoppe
as expected, the Cat Group was the most yowling...
they even out-yowled the Pirates!
The Tiny Clothespin Dolls
were delighted and beaming to hear
that they would be going into "Collections"...
They were eager to get to know others of their own kind!
The Dollmaker Loves her new neighbors!
Shannon Marie Holiday!
Of the Father Thyme Apothecary! moved in next door!
And the place looks beautiful!
A very cool Lady! And a bonus point for bringing Nic to the Neighborhood!
He's the fellow who promptly bought Shannon a Greenman Doll
as a Shoppe-Warming Present!
Way to go, Nic!
This Year, the Final Weekend of
extends into December..
therefore shall be reported upon in the December Issue of the
Wee Peeple Newsletter...
Yes, that's right- there is STILL
ONE MORE WEEKEND!
and it's a Doozy!
The Three-Day Weekend
which includes Black Friday
(oh boy! Is that the sound of black reindeer bells jingling?)
Coming right up- THIS Friday- Right Ho!
For Celtic Christmas Weekend!
Time now for some real Thanks Giving!
As the Dollmaker keeps on getting older, she really appreciates that:
A lot of people helped the Dollmaker get through this Season...
Applause for
Heartfelt Thanks for
Lisa and Debbie who managed the shoppe quite efficiently on Sundays...
also, Denise, John and Brandi who all in their turn providentially stepped in
narrowly averting folly, disaster and mayhem..
Much appreciation
for Deborah Bond (her grandson, JJ, was also a good little helper!)
|
Also thanks to old friend, Natasha, who drove the Dollmaker to the Faire on Halloween weekend..
|
and.. a bold and hearty Salute to
all those convivial Time Travelers
who strode -or stumbled- across the Threshold of the
on the 50th Anniversary of
One more Weekend in
