 Now, where were we...?

Oh yes... the Last weekend of the Faire... to conclude...

T'was a Jolly

Celtic Christmas Weekend!

at the

  at

The Grand Finale!  the 8th Weekend!

Starting with Black Friday...

They came for the Sales. They came for the Camaraderie.

for Tradition and Cool Weather and Christmas

And, bless them, they came, once again, for the Dolls!

Barreling forward into It's-Almost-Over-Saturday...

And yet... It's not over 'til it's over.....

for example...

Once upon this last Time in the Doll Shoppe,

there was a very handsome Shaman Doll.

Exceedingly handsome.

Alas, one day,

the Dollmaker noticed a very bad scratch on his nose

A terrible scratch which penetrated through the fabric and

basically could not be repaired.

For a time she despaired, taking the wounded Shaman home

to see if anything could be done.

Several weeks passed- nothing.

But then one day

The Dollmaker came across a Mask which she had put aside...

It was part-human-part-bird.. and it looked like the perfect size!

Indeed it was! It fit right over the damaged nose!!!

perfect. The Shaman was saved.

Altered forever, but saved.

So, on the next to the last day of the faire,

Neighbor Nic ambled into the Doll Shoppe

and noticed the Shaman for the first time...

the Dollmaker hesitatingly disclosed the details of his secret Story..

how he was compelled to wear a mask to cover an unhealed wound..

 And Nic loved it!

He loved the Real Story of what happened to this Doll!

He immediately saw a connection to The Phantom of the Opera-

the tragic story of a disfigured genius...

and he knew that this was his Doll of the Year!

 Wow.

Eventually... the Grande Final Weekend concluded with

 Ta-ta-for-Now Sunday.

Right Ho!

So... On the Final Day of the Faire, the Ladies of the Doll Shoppe

exchange gifts- it being Jolly ole Celtic Christmas and all..

so... The Dollmaker had some fun creating a

Special Order Lady Pin

for the easiest person in the world to Parody..

(perhaps you recognize Andrea as "the bad girl" in the Arsene Show..)

And so... on that note, the Faire ended.

See you next year!

Right!

So... After all THAT....

The Dollmaker made a few Dolls in

one Doll changed Hairdos completely

before she ever left the Workshop!

 (The Enchantress)

The Green Cat

She knew she wanted a Butterfly

But Where did she want the Butterfly to Alight...?

Which spot would you choose?

Breakfast with the Clauses

The Dollmaker's Trip to the North Pole

for Breakfast with the Clauses...

She knew, as she approached, that this was the right place...

 So, Santa made Breakfast...

(Right! Who knew Santa could cook!)

while Mrs. Claus proudly showed off her

Santa Bear Collection...

One Bear for each year of their marriage!

And many people don't know this

but Santa is a Precision Model Train Aficionado!

 Using photos from the 1920's

he builds replicas of actual historical buildings,

and precise, scaled-down versions of real locomotives.

He also hand-makes tiny trees, cardboard and plaster mountains

and he even uses people less than a half an inch tall!

The Dollmaker had so much fun Trading Trinkets this season

she even made a Trinket Trader Doll!

And now it's time to

restock the Trinkets!

Small ones for the Dolls, larger ones for Shoppe Trading.

December marked the end of another good year for the

The Dollmaker plans to start the New Year out with

Large Greenman Wall Mandalas

To this end she has researched images online and made a collage

of 25 Greenman Heads for study.

Kendra Swope, who has an amazing collection of Wee Peeple Dolls,

also has a considerable collection of Greenman Wall Heads

which she kindly shared with the Dollmaker:

(oh yes- check out Kendra Swope's impressive Wee Peeple Doll Collection)

While December was a busy month for Christmas Dollmaking

the Dollmaker found time to work on her paintings...

A Silvery Blustery Winter Painting for the North Wall

And while there is always much more to say

at the end of

whatever contrived Time Period we structure for ourselves

to pass through..

what feels the best- always-

is just-

Thank you.
